The Critical Consumer Issues Forum (CCIF) invites you to REGISTER HERE to join us in Orlando for our 9th Annual Kickoff Forum, which will feature state commissioners, consumer advocates, and energy company representatives to share initial perspectives and provide an opportunity to engage additional stakeholders in the dialogue that will serve as a foundation for the collaborative process to follow.
Promoted By*:*The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) and the National Association of State Utility Consumer Advocates (NASUCA) are promoters of the CCIF 9th Annual Kickoff Forum.
Topic Description. In today’s energy sector, grid modernization is well underway, and customers are exhibiting interest in a range of energy technologies, services, and applications for their homes and businesses. State commissioners, consumer advocates, energy companies, and other stakeholders are embracing customer-centric opportunities while addressing challenges related to rapidly advancing technologies, a growing number of market entrants and choices, and changing customer expectations. At the upcoming CCIF Kickoff Forum, you’ll hear from experts and engage in dialogue on questions that will serve as a roadmap for discussions over the coming year. Specifically, CCIF aims to examine several regulatory and public policy issues associated with electric transportation, which will prove instructive with respect to other customer-driven solutions such as energy storage and microgrids. While Kickoff participants will reference past CCIF topics, notably a look back at how grid modernization has facilitated – and how it should continue to facilitate – a customer-centric energy future, CCIF will challenge participants to advance the discussion into key areas not yet fully explored.
